Moncton Expected To Escape Brunt Of Rain Storm

Heavy rain is currently falling on the western part of the province, but rain isn’t expected to arrive in the Hub City until later tonight.

According to the Environment Canada forecast, we aren’t expected to get large amounts, there’s up to 15 millimetres is forecast..

There are rainfall warnings in effect for areas including Fredericton, St. Stephen and Oromocto. Some areas could see between 60 and 100 millimetres of rain.

The special weather statement for our region ended earlier this morning.

Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick could face some high winds of up to 60 kilometres an hour.
