Over 40 teams of rowers will hit Jones Lake tonight and tomorrow for the 11th annual Dragon Boat Festival.
The event begins at 4-pm today as 19 high school teams will climb onboard their dragon boats.
Chairperson Norval McConnell says 22 paddlers row in sync and there’s also a drummer onboard.
This event raises money for several organizations – 60 per cent of the money raised by each team goes to the Lions Sick Children’s Fund.
The other 40 per cent goes to a charity of their choice.
Tomorrow, 22 corporate teams will row.
