A major recognition for a Moncton physician.
Dr. Sharon Northrop is Canada’s family physician of the year for New Brunswick.
She has been practicing since 1987.
Doctors are chosen based on their outstanding patient care, significant contributions to the health and well being of their community and commitment to family medicine teaching and research.
Dr. Cyril Moyse of Summerside will also receive the award for Prince Edward Island.
The awards will be handed out on November 11, as a part of the College of Family Physicians of Canada Family Medicine Forum being held in Quebec City.
