Moncton City Councillor Won’t Be Punished After Probe

The investigation conducted by an independent external investigator found that Moncton Councillor-At-Large Pierre Boudreau did breach the city’s code of conduct.

The incident in question occurred when Boudreau made inappropriate comments to Hafsah Mohammad after she was critical of political decisions.

However, in light of a public apology that Mohammad accepted, Boudreau will not be sanctioned, and the matter is considered closed.

City Councillors were told on Monday that while they are aware of the respectful workplace policy and code of conduct, the incoming council will be offered further training that includes diversity, equity and inclusion

Boudreau did not reoffer for the upcoming Municipal Election after five terms as Councillor-At-Large.
