Moncton City Council To Be Sworn In Tonight

Moncton City Council will make it official tonight, at a swearing in ceremony.

Dawn Arnold will become the first ever woman to take the Mayor’s Chair in the Hub City.

A few new faces were elected to council for the next four years.

Greg Turner will be sworn in as Councillor at Large, and Bryan David Butler and Rob McKee will both serve in Ward 3.

Tonight’s swearing in will be held at 6pm in Council Chambers, as a closed ceremony, but a Public reception will follow at 7pm in the Lobby of City hall.

After eight years as the Mayor of Moncton, and 17 years on Council, George Leblanc said his goodbyes late last week.
