A program that is offered by the Moncton Boys and Girls Club, that helps kids who are facing challenges in education, is at risk of coming to an end, if funding isn’t received soon..
The Raising the Grade program first received funding through the Rogers Youth Fund in 2012…But that will run out in September.
The Club currently has an application into the provincial government with the hopes of receiving financial support so the program can continue.
The Boys and Girls Club of Moncton’s Raising the Grade program focuses on things like mental health supports, youth employment, life skills, and mentorship.
Executive Director, Daniel LeBlanc, says their program offers a pro-active approach to the challenges facing today’s students, rather than the re-active approach that’s needed when a student quits school…
