The Provincial Justice Minister is being pressed on why charges haven’t been laid in the drive by shooting of City Police officer Chris Messer’s home in September of 2010.
The M-L-A for Sussex-Fundy-St. Martins, Bruce Northrup says police gathered what they considered to be enough evidence.
Northrup says not laying charges will send out the wrong message to criminals.
Stephen Horsman, who’s a former police officer himself, says he can’t comment since Messer has launched a lawsuit.
