A 51-year-old Moncton man who was reported missing over the weekend, has been located dead.
Charles Pitre was last seen on April 9th.
Shortly after he was reported missing to police, some of his belongings were located near a dumpster in the downtown area.
A search of a section of the Moncton landfill was conducted by members of the RCMP’s .
Police say human remains were located in the search area and the body has since been identified as Charles Pitre.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed tomorrow to help determine the cause of death, however criminality is not believed to be involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
