Just over a month after being re-elected to his third term in office, Miramichi Mayor Gerry Cormier has died after suffering a heart attack at the age of 66.
Former Senator and cabinet minister Norbert Theriault has also passed away at the age of 95. Theriault served in the cabinet of then Premier Louis Robichaud in the 1960’s and became a Senator in 1979 after being appointed by then Prime Minister Trudeau.
