It looks like New Brunswick won’t see any major impacts as a result of Tropical Storm Isaias.
Environment Canada Meteorologist David Neil says they’ve been watching the system closely over the past few days.
“The storm has been tracking further west with its forecast track. So now, it does look like the impacts will be minimal for New Brunswick,” Neil says.
He says if there are any effects, it will be in the northwestern part of the province.
“At some points, typically during Wednesday morning, we could see some gusts up to 60 kilometres an hour. Right now, if any, that looks like it will be the main impact for New Brunswick with this storm.”
Otherwise, it is expected to move through Quebec as a post tropical storm.
Neil adds, their main focus is Tropical Storm Isaias currently, but they are keeping an eye on another potential system or storm, “There’s another area that the National Hurricane Centre has been monitoring that has about a 30 per cent chance of developing over the next couple of days.”
As for temperatures across the province, Neil expects we’re in for another couple of days of warmth.
