MH35 Centre Plans Being Unveiled To Public

Public information sessions are being held about the plans to renovate and restore the former Moncton High School.

The MH Renaissance group is conducting hourly sessions on Tuesday at the Crossman Community Centre-Kay Arena starting at 1pm with the last one at 8pm.

Group president Dennis Cochrane says the architectural plans of the proposed MH35 Centre will be available along with a breakdown of costs.

“it is not-for-profit. There’s nobody making any money off of this. It’s designed so that the former classroom area of the building will generate revenue (from tenants) and the revenue after tax would go to the Centre of the Performing Arts,” says Cochrane.

Cochrane adds that would include the two gymnasiums and a renovated theatre which he believes would become the largest theatre of its kind east of Quebec City.
