Metro Moncton Turkey Drive Enters Final Two Days

The annual Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters Association Turkey Drive has entered its final two days.

So far 2,020 turkeys have been delivered “down back” at the St. George Boulevard fire station.

With a goal of 4,315, more than 1,100 birds are needed today and tomorrow.

Later this morning, the principal and students at Bessborough School will be marching to the fire station with about 200 turkeys they have collected.

The Turkey Drive is part of the 30 Days of Caring Campaign.

Also to date, 311 Christmas food boxes have been filled and 1800 are needed by December 21st.

And only 100 tickets remain for the Metrotones Christmas Concert tomorrow night at the Wesleyan Celebration Centre.
