MONCTON, N.B. – The inaugural meeting of “100 Men Who Care of Greater Moncton” is being held tonight at the Crystal Palace Ramada Hotel.
Co-founder David Hawkins says the fundraiser has been inspired by a similar women’s group in the community.
The idea has been growing across North America.
Three charities were chosen at random: the Frye Festival, the Atlantic Canada Research Institute and the Greater Moncton SPCA.
After each group makes a presentation, Hawkins says the members will vote to decide which charity receives the funds.
A meet and greet will start at 5-pm followed by the meeting at 5:30-pm.
