Is a new IKEA retail store setting up shop in Halifax?

But if they do, many in Metro Moncton are scratching their heads.
Riverview Town Councillor Andrew LeBlanc says the town has been trying to lure the Swedish furniture maker here for the last couple of years.
“We developed an online public invitation in which we invited the executives from IKEA to come down and see what we have. We had over 400 residents who attached their names and many had some great comments,” he notes.
LeBlanc adds Riverview has lots of room for a large retail store but he adds the company has obviously done its research and made its decision.
