Metro Moncton Drivers Urged To Share The Road

More cyclists are taking to the streets of Metro Moncton thanks to an ever-growing system of trails and bike lanes.

The City of Moncton has been encouraging drivers to give cyclists more room and has placed awareness decals on all city vehicles in recent weeks.

An avid cyclist herself, Councillor-at-Large Dawn Arnold says those who are biking need the room and both cyclists and motorists must share the road.

The awareness decals are similar to street signs which can be found throughout the region.

Arnold says if a resident would like to put a decal on their own vehicle, they can drop by La Bikery on Assomption Boulevard to find out more details.
