A lack of volunteers and a struggle to find donations could mean the end for a Metro Moncton charity.
Since 2012, Big Hearts, Small City has been helping anyone in need including fire victims, the elderly and those in poverty.

Founder Jason Surette says the charity tries to fill a gap and tries not to duplicate services that others may be doing.
“That way when someone supports our charity they know we’re doing something very unique. The thing that we do that is unique is the bed donation program. I haven’t been able to find any other organization in New Brunswick that’s currrently doing a bed donation program like we’re doing,” he says.
At least five volunteers are being sought for the bed donation program and a new board of directors is also needed.
Surette has been on his own since November and says he can’t continue for much longer due to health problems.
