Environment Canada is keeping a close eye on a weather system that could bring quite the mess this weekend.
The national weather agency has issued a special weather statement for southern New Brunswick, warning about the potential for significant rainfall.
Meteorologist Ian Hubbard says a warm front stretching into the Bay of Fundy area on Friday could dump more than 25 millimetres of rain.
As the warm front moves south on Saturday, Hubbard says the rain will change to snow, ice pellets and freezing rain.
He says the weather agency will have a better idea on precipitation totals as the weekend gets closer.
