Messy commute after latest weather system

Environment Canada lifted the last of the weather alerts on Monday morning.

But some cleanup is still underway in the province after the latest storm system on Sunday.

To the north, conditions fell as snow.

In the south and southeast, it was a mix of rain, freezing rain and snow.

Reports on social media last night stated there were slippery conditions on roads and highways, but plows and salt trucks are now out.

To the north, reports are less favourable. Schools in Anglophone and Francophone North are closed today.

You’ll probably need extra time to scrape your windshield this morning and plan for additional travel time if needed.
