Mental health illness is a problem that affects all of us, whether we suffer from it personally or if we are dealing with a family member who has it.
The Canadian Mental Health Association says programs are available in New Brunswick with a variety of topics.
Those topics range from depression, anxiety, grief and recovery, bi-polar, trauma, PTSD and parenting children with ADHD.
Operations Manager for the CMHA in the province Kristen Barnes says whther you realise it or not, you are probably affected in some way or another..
She says, “The statistics are quite evident. Some say one in five, while other research says one in four experience a mental illness. Mental illness can impact our lives in different capacities.”
She says all of the programs are confidential.
