Meghan Markle has confirmed that her father will not be attending her wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle on Saturday.
In a message posted by Kensington Palace on Twitter, Markle says she has always cared for her father and hopes he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.

Seventy-three-year-old Thomas Markle reportedly had heart surgery recently and he remains in hospital according to TMZ.
He was expected to walk Meghan down the aisle.
The palace has not confirmed who will perform that duty now although there is speculation it will be her mother or future father-n-law Prince Charles.
