McKenzie: “Winning Saint John Harbour Will Take A Lot of Work”

The provincial NDP has candidates for every riding in the province.

Leader Jennifer McKenzie tells us she made a commitment to have 50 per cent of those candidates be women.

She says they believe in having people with a lot of diverse backgrounds.

“We have nurses, we have farmers, we have bus drivers, we have all sorts of people around the table and that contributes to making strong decisions and having good policy that will change the lives of everyone and make sure that nobody’s left out”.

McKenzie says they are getting a wonderful reception at the door with people excited about the five planks of their platform including increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

We asked McKenzie what she thinks her chances are in the riding of Saint John Harbour and she says it’s going to take a lot of work, adding they will roll up their sleeves to meet voters in her riding and in every riding.
