As housing costs rise, so does the number of residents without shelter.
The emergency shelter set up for the winter has now closed and many are resulting to living in tents.
Tent cities have been popping up all over the city in recent years.
Director of the YMCA’s Outreach, Lisa Ryan program says her team are working very hard to ensure everyone is safe.
Ryan says her team works closely with individuals to create specific plans of action, tailored to their specific needs.
She says she feels confident that new strategies will be effective.
