Manslaughter charge laid in death of 11-year old boy

A manslaughter charge has been laid in the death of an 11-year old boy in Shippagan.

It happened last November after he was struck in the face with a kick-scooter by a 15-year old boy.

He was transported to hospital and died 2 days later from his injuries.

The now 16-year old was arrested a few days later and released on conditions.

He’s now facing the manslaughter charge, and will appear in court on October 26th.
