Man’s Body Recovered From Fredericton Lake

Fredericton police have recovered the body of a man from a lake after responding to a possible drowning.

Emergency crews were called to Killarney Lake around 8 p.m. Saturday to search for a missing swimmer.

Police said dive team members recovered the body of a man in his mid-40s on Sunday.

“No further information will be released at this time as the matter is still being investigated,” the Fredericton Police Force said in a news release on Sunday.

The beach and trail system was closed for several hours for the initial rescue effort and investigation.
