Man Sentenced For Threatening To Set Girlfriend On Fire

A man who covered his girlfriend in lighter fluid and threatened to set her on fire has been has been sentenced.

Thirty-one-year-old Shawn Ezerskis appear in Moncton court yesterday and was handed a two year conditional sentence, house arrest and credit for time served.

He was arrested in January after his 24 year old girlfriend went to RCMP Headquarters and reported the incident.

Ezerskis pleaded guilty to three charges, assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
