Man Killed In Northern New Brunswick Snowmobile Crash

A 46-year-old man has died after losing control of his snowmobile between Plaster Rock and Miramichi.

It happened on the Sentier NB Trail system off Highway 108 on Saturday evening, and police believe alcohol was a factor.

Police say the man was travelling with a group of snowmobilers when he became separated and hit a tree.

The victim was from the community of Lyttleton, about 30 kilometres from Miramichi

A Cormorant helicopter from Greenwood, Nova Scotia, was called in to help police and firefighters.

An autopsy will be performed, and the investigation is ongoing.
