A 23-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of an inmate at the Atlantic Institution in Renous in February.
Members of the Blackville RCMP responded to the facility shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Feruary 18th.
Police say an inmate was badly injured in his cell and he was taken to the infirmary and was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Calvin Clifford Kenny, originally from Newfoundland.
The RCMP has been investigating the death as a homicide and on May 15th
Brandon Blake Colford, originally from Blackville was charged with second-degree murder.
He remains in prison and will appear in court at a later date.
