An elderly man has been taken to hospital after a car flipped over in east end Moncton shortly after 9 o’clock this morning.
Moncton Fire acting Platoon Chief Paul MacFadyen says the driver of the vehicle appears to have caught the curb and it hit a tree before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
MacFadyen says firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle in order to cut through the roof and free the man who was the only person inside.
He was taken to hospital with injuries considered to be non-life threatening.
The crash occurred on Mill Road near Toombs Street and the road was closed in both directions during the incident.
No other vehicles were involved.
