Man Gets 10 Years For Two Armed Robberies

A 36-year-old man will spend 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to committing two armed robberies in Moncton within two days.

James Douglas Simms was sentenced yesterday in Moncton provincial court.

Simms held up at man at the Scotiabank ATM on Mountain Road on October 2.

On October 4, he held up a clerk at a convenience store on Humphrey Street.

Simms already had three prior robberies on his record.
