UPDATED: Two People Killed In Separate Snowmobile Crashes

Police say two people have died after two separate snowmobile crashes in the province on Friday.

The first collision happened on a snowmobile trail in Williamstown, near Florenceville-Bristol early Friday morning.

Mounties said they were called to the scene around 6:30 a.m. and believe the driver lost control of the snowmobile and collided with a tree.

The victim, a 30-year-old man from nearby Greenfield, died at the scene from his injuries.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, RCMP responded to a report of a snowmobile crash on a trail near Girouardville Road in Bouctouche.

Investigators believe the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a fence post.

The 38-year-old man from Boudreau-Ouest also died at the scene from his injuries.

RCMP said both collisions remain under investigation.
