A 52-year-old man from Allardville has died after a single-vehicle crash in the community.
Bathurst RCMP say officers were called to a home on Route 134 early Wednesday morning after a report of mischief in progress.
Several windows of the home and of a vehicle were broken.
The person believed to be responsible drove away in a pickup truck before police arrived.
A truck matching the description was involved in a single-vehicle collision a short time later.
Police say the driver died from his injuries while being taken to hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
