Man dies after snowmobile hits moose near Bathurst

A northeastern New Brunswick man has died after police say his snowmobile collided with a moose.

Emergency crews were called to a trail near Dunn Street in Allardville shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The 59-year-old Allardville man who was driving the snowmobile died at the scene from his injuries.

Mounties are still piecing together the cause of the crash.
