The RCMP have not made a positive identification but the family has identified 62 year old David MacFarland as the man who died Saturday after the excavator he was trying to remove from a trailer rolled over, pinning him underneath.
The excavator wound up at the bottom of an embankment.
This happened on Route 845 at Clifton Royal, north of Saint John.
