An 81-year-old woman has found dead in a home in Sussex and a 51-year-old man has been arrested by RCMP.
It’s believed the man and woman were related and lived in the same home.
On Wednesday, police went to check on the woman after neighbours reported not having seen her in several weeks.
Mounties believe she died in the home sometime between mid-August and this week.
Edward James Firth has been charged with failing to report a death and was sent for a 30-day psychological assessment.
An autopsy has been conducted and the exact cause of the woman’s death has not been determined.
