Man charged in child porn investigation

A northern New Brunswick man has been charged in a months-long child pornography investigation.

The investigation began in November 2022 after information was received from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.

On Oct. 12, officers searched a residence in Petit-Rocher-Nord and seized a number of electronic devices.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later released on strict conditions with a future court date.

The man appeared in court on Monday and was charged with possession of child pornography. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 26.

More details can be found on the New Brunswick RCMP’s website.
