Man Charged In Bouctouche Robbery

A 19-year-old Bouctouche man has been charged following a weekend robbery.

Brandon David Hicks faces one count of robbery and will appear in Moncton provincial court today for a bail hearing.

Mounties say a man armed with a knife entered the Wagon Wheel Convenience store in Bouctouche around 9-pm Saturday and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fled empty-handed and no one was hurt.

Police were given a detailed desription of the suspect and he was arrested shortly after on Route 134 in Bouctouche.
