Man Charged In Armed Robbery

A 50-year-old man has turned himself into police in connection with an armed robbery in Moncton earlier this month.

Codiac RCMP say John Joseph LeBlanc gave himself up yesterday after police released surveillance photos.

John Joseph LeBlanc has been charged with one count of robbery with an offensive weapon.

He is being held in jail and will return to court on Friday.

In the early morning hours of June 12, a man held up the Needs store on Elmwood Drive and got away with some cash.

No one was hurt in the incident.
