Man Charged After Shots Fired At RCMP Detachment

A Tobique First Nation man has been charged after shots were fired at the community’s RCMP detachment.

Mounties say officers arrived at the detachment on May 20 to find several bullet holes in the side and the back of the building.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Neeko Dominique is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while prohibited, mischief over $5,000, and breaching an undertaking.

The 25-year-old remains in custody and has a bail hearing set for May 30.
