A sentence of two years and six months behind bars handed down to a 38-year-old man picked up by police as part of the three-year organized crime investigation in New Brunswick called Operation J Tornado.
James Mailman was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin, to which he plead guilty. The Crown stating that Mailman, who does not have a criminal record, kept a so-called stash house for the drugs for a third party and described him as being at the bottom of the network.
Provincial court judge Andrew LeMesurier calling heroin a destructive substance in our society noting it isn’t something we see here very often and says we want to keep it out of our community.

29 people were arrested as part of Operation J Tornado last fall, Police seized cocaine, marijuana, heroin, weapons, paraphernialia, and cash.
