UPDATE: Man Charged In Dieppe Stabbing

A 34-year-old Havelock man is facing charges including attempted murder after a stabbing in Dieppe.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Codiac RCMP were called to an incident at 1855 Champlain Street (near the airport) where a 43-year-old man had been stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital where he was treated and later released.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

A vehicle was later found at the intersection of Champlain Street and Dieppe Boulevard and the suspect was arrested.

Ryan Reynolds appeared in Moncton Provincial Court via tele-remand on Wednesday and was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault.

Reynolds is in custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 12 for a bail hearing.
