Major layoffs are coming to Air Canada as fewer people are travelling during the pandemic.
Multiple media outlets are reporting an internal memo shows the company will lay off over half of its workforce on June 7th.
The airline is reportedly losing $22-million each day because of lower traffic volumes.
In March, the company suspended international flights at the start of the COVID-19 crisis in Canada and laid off thousands of crew members and flight attendants.
