Lots of rain for Metro Moncton

Lots of rain and some thundershowers are possible over the next 12 hours in Metro Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the region.

Environment Canada meteorologist Claude Cote says a lot of rain – possibly up to 30 mm or more – could come down in a short period of time.

Cote adds this weather system is not related to Hurricane Cristobal, which is still churning in the Atlantic and will have some impact on eastern Newfoundland tomorrow.
