The lockdown has now been lifted, but Codiac RCMP continue their search for 20 year old Travis Squires.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes yesterday afternoon.
Officers blocked off an area on Salisbury Road between Edinburgh Drive and Humpyard Road, as well as the Rosewood Trailer Park yesterday morning after reports of a man with a rifle, who is at risk of harming himself.
Residents were asked to stay in their homes, and motorists were not being permitted to enter the lockdown zone.
RCMP say this stemmed from an incident on Shamrock Avenue, where an individual was assaulted and a home was damaged.
Anyone with information on Squires whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crimsetoppers.
