There was a lockdown at both Sussex High and Sussex Middle School this morning according to the RCMP in Sussex.
The lockdown started at 11am at the high school and was later extended to Sussex Middle. Neither police or Superintendent Zoe Watson are commenting on the exact nature of the threat, but Watson would say that it originated from outside of the school and there’s no danger to either students or staff.
The schools have a combined student body of about 1400.
