Local Daycare Needs Donations For New Bus

A local non profit daycare needs help replacing their worn out bus.

Unicorn Children’s Centre takes care of 2 to 12 year olds, and gets them involved in community building as well as takes them to and from school.

Executive Director Erin Maclaggan says their current bus is 10 years old and needs to be replaced.

Maclaggan says their current bus is an old “tin can” style of school bus, and is not very comfortable.

She adds the last 10 years of wear and tear from winter weather is catching up to them.

Maclaggan says a new 24 passenger bus will cost at least $40,000 dollars.

She says having a bus is very important because it lets them get kids involved in the community, with monthly visits to seniors citizens, and other programs.
