Liberals To Eliminate Glyphosate Spraying On Crown Land

New Brunswick’s Liberal Leader says he has heard from thousands of New Brunswickers who have concerns regarding the use of glyphosate.

Speaking in Rogersville on Monday, leader Kevin Vickers promises to gradually eliminate the use of the pesticide on public-owned land, over a four-year period to allow for industry to adjust.

“We listened to the thousands of New Brunswickers who had legitimate concerns regarding the spraying of herbicide containing glyphosate,” he says.

Vickers says they will make the environment a priority and work with communities, industries and experts in the field to ensure the responsible and sustainable development of our forests.
