We are starting to see some mudslinging in the election campaign.
A pointed email from the Liberal party speaks about what it calls Blaine Higgs ‘secret plan’ to close 79 schools and cut 545 teaching positions.
It says these numbers come from a report by EY and according to the Liberals was never made public.

Just a few hours later, a letter is sent by email from Team Higgs detailing his love for the province.
He talks about how much he learned as Finance Minister saying civil servants want to do so much more for our province and it’s often politicians who hold them back.
Higgs is also critical of the power held by the Premier’s office saying it ends up making all the decisions.
He wants cabinet ministers to be focused on New Brunswick, not Cabinet politics and he pledges if elected Premier to be honest with everyone about what is working inside government and what’s not.
