Liberal leader Brian Gallant chose the old No.2 Engine House in Saint John to make a campaign announcement for Labour Day.
Flanked by a number of Saint John Fire Fighters Gallant announced a number of laws and acts will be updated if his party wins the election.

Gallant was also asked if he would be willing to look at going back to the days of allowing Police and Fire Departments to strike rather go the binging arbitration route, which the City of Saint John and some other cities say is broken. He had this response.
