Liberal Leader Brian Gallant has issued a statement regarding the alleged offer to Blaine Higgs.
Gallant says he wanted to meet with Higgs to see if cuts to government services and spending cuts were David Alward’s fault and if Higgs had any good ideas regarding the province’s finances.
Gallant goes on to say after meetings were held it was clear to him that Higgs, not Alward was the architect of the cuts and he says at no time did he offer or have anyone offer the role to Blaine Higgs to become Finance Minister.
