It’s going to be another scorcher in many areas of the province today.
A level one heat alert has been issued for today for Fredericton, St. Stephen, Miramichi, the interior regions of the Acadian Peninsula and the Carleton, Sunbury and York Counties.

The provincial health department says humidex levels are expected to be between 35 and 39 degrees for much of the day.
The department says when a level one heat alert is issued, certain vulnerable people could be affected.
Seniors, young kids, the over and underweight, those taking certain over-the-counter or prescription meds, and those with certain chronic medical conditions are most at risk when it comes to getting sick from the heat.
